Ohio Homesteading Bill HB 175 Hearing on Jan 30th

HB 175 would expand the rights of Ohio citizens to raise their own food. It would allow keeping of a small livestock, chickens, rabbits, goats on parcels of one acre or less for personal purposes. The law assigns a unit portion to each type of animal and establishes a cap on how many units based on the acreage. It comes out to about 20 chickens or 3 goats per acre. Come and testify in support of the bill next Tuesday or just come to the hearing to support the bill with your presence.
